Sabine Baker

(language skills: German)

Current Vice President

Doula Services, Labor Doula, Childbirth Educator, Lactation Counselor, Yoga Teacher, Postpartum Doula

Sabine is a certified labor doula through CAPPA, with additional training including postpartum preparation from DONA International. She also holds certifications as a Hypnobabies doula and a yoga instructor.
Sabine is passionate about educating expectant mothers on the importance of using their voices during their pregnancy and birthing experiences. She wishes for every mother to feel empowered to express her desires, wishes, and needs throughout her pregnancy and childbirth. Sabine views childbirth as a natural process that should occur in its own course but emphasizes that this doesn't mean all births must be unmedicated. She believes each birth is unique and should be handled individually to provide personalized support for mothers on their journey.
She has experience as a midwife assistant, having participated in over 120 births across home, birth center, and hospital environments. Each year, she commits to furthering her education in the field of childbirth. She believes strongly in the powerful connection between mind and body, emphasizing that women should have the opportunity to prepare for childbirth both physically and spiritually. Birth is a sacred event, and it is important to allow mothers to shape and strive toward the birth experience they envision for themselves and their babies in any environment they choose to birth their babies.
Sabine is married and has two grown children, two grandchildren, and some fur babies. She is dedicated to maintaining an active and spiritual lifestyle, and loves yoga, mingling with friends, and spending time in nature.

Tara Mitts

Current Treasurer

Doula Services, Postpartum Meal Delivery

After hiring a doula for my second pregnancy, I experienced birth in a whole new way—one that empowered and supported me in ways I never expected. That experience inspired me to become a doula myself, so I could offer the same level of care and encouragement to other birthing mothers. And in 2020, I earned my certification from MaternityWise.
As a Young Living Brand Partner, I have learned how to effectively incorporate essential oils into pregnancy and birth for added comfort and well-being. I love being able to share my knowledge of a more holistic lifestyle with all if it’s something you desire.
Recognizing the importance of nourishment in postpartum recovery, my chef husband and I created a carefully designed postpartum meal delivery menu. We believe that healing foods play a crucial role in replenishing the body, supporting lactation, and aiding in overall recovery after birth.
It is an absolute honor to walk alongside each family who invites me into their birth journey, providing support, guidance, and care during such a transformative time.

Doula Services, Postpartum Care, Childbirth Education, Placenta Encapsulation, Breastfeeding Support, La Leche League Leader, Myofunctional Therapy

I believe a mother needs to be supported, protected and cared for herself so that she is free to enter into her new role as a mother. Her strength, innate wisdom and feeling of empowerment witnessed during childbirth will remain with her into her journey of motherhood. As a certified doula, I strive to help parents create realistic expectations about their unique birth experience; make sure they are educated; feeling confident, grounded and excited about the birth process.
My passion for birth work began through my own pregnancy and the beautiful births of my two children. I love being able to utilize my gift of intuition and compassion into the birthing atmosphere. I incorporate teachings of yoga and ancient wisdom of Ayurveda into my full doula support. Helping women love their birth and realize they have the strength within themselves is the greatest gift. I am happy to support families in a hospital, birth center or home birth.
